Polymer box-shaped valve bags
One of Starlinger's most renowned achievements is the AD*STAR® valve-type box sack, which combines the advantages of paper and polymer sacks. Only high-quality raw materials and components are used in production, ensuring product compliance with the requirements of the Customs Union Technical Regulation TR CU 005/2011 "On Packaging Safety."
Box-shaped polypropylene bags are manufactured using modern technology on Starlinger (Austria) equipment—a global leader that has been creating innovative solutions for polymer processing and industrial packaging production for over half a century.
AD*STAR® valve box bags, thanks to their increased strength and convenient design, are suitable for filling, storing, and transporting various bulk materials. They are typically used for packaging cement, flour, fertilizers, dry construction mixes, food products, animal feed, and other goods.
Unlike paper counterparts, polypropylene bags are lighter, can withstand a larger load volume, and are moisture-resistant. They are compatible with automated filling lines, and once filled, they take on a rectangular shape, making them convenient for palletizing, storage, and transportation.

Bag Types
We produce the following types of AD*STAR® box-shaped polypropylene bags:
- Valve box bags: Intended for filling bulk products such as cement, flour, and other materials.
- Open-mouth box bags: Can be equipped with a PE liner for additional protection if necessary.
All products are made exclusively from laminated polypropylene fabric.
Perforation (for Valve Bags)
Perforation is used for filling bulk materials into AD*STAR® valve bags. Small holes in the fabric allow air to escape freely during loading.
There are two types of perforation:
1. Micro-perforation
2. Nano-perforation
Nano-perforation is a more advanced technology: it provides a higher volume of air escape without reducing the bag's strength, which speeds up the filling process.
Additional Options
Polyethylene Liner
Open-mouth bags can be equipped with a PE liner. It protects the product from moisture, dust, odors, and leakage. Liners can be made of HDPE or LDPE.
Color and Content Control
The standard fabric color is white. Bags can be produced in colored fabric, and a transparent strip can be added for visual monitoring of the contents.
Bags with a company logo or product image become an effective promotion tool. We use modern equipment that allows for printing using various methods:
Flexographic Printing (up to 6 colors)
- Allows for neat and attractive packaging at an affordable price.
- Suitable for both large and small runs.
- Optimal for applying text or simple images without complex gradients.
Full-color Flexographic Printing
- Ideal for creating bright and expressive packaging that makes the product stand out.
- Provides nearly photorealistic quality for images.
- High resolution and smooth gradients ensure a wide color gamut.
- Looks especially impressive on bags with glossy lamination.
- Virtually comparable to rotogravure printing in terms of capability.
- Excellent strength and resistance to impacts and mechanical stress.
- Moisture resistance due to the laminated surface.
- Possibility of applying flexographic and full-color printing.
- Convenient shape facilitating transportation and compact placement.
- Minimal empty bag weight.
- Patented welding technology without the use of adhesives.
- Eco-friendliness and ease of recycling.
